Amuri Manor is proud to offer a peaceful, spacious NZMCA-approved Park Over Property (POP) site for self-contained travellers. Set beside our historic 1922 homestead, our grounds provide a quiet and scenic place to rest while exploring the beauty of North Canterbury.

Whether you’re passing through, heading to Hanmer Springs, or enjoying the charm of the Amuri Basin, we offer a safe and friendly place to stop overnight.

We welcome singles, couples, (fur-kids) and small groups travelling together.

Please note: we are an unfenced property in the country for dog owners, recommend on lead if unsupervised.. Please pick up poo thanks.

🚿 Optional Guest Facilities

POP guests may choose to use parts of the manor’s facilities for a small fee:

  • Hot shower
  • Toilet
  • Laundry (washer/dryer) – soap capsules available on request

This is especially helpful for longer journeys or travellers wanting a “refresh-stop” between destinations.

Rates

Standard POP site:
$20 per night per vehicle (self-contained only)
Discount to NZMCA members: $15
Payment Method: Cash or Bank Transfer

Optional add-ons:

  • Shower: $5 per person
  • Laundry: $5 per load (includes soap capsules)
  • Dryer: $5 per load
  • Toilet access: complimentary with showers

We also offer Airbnb rooms inside the Manor if you decide you’d like a little more comfort for a night or two.

Location

Amuri Manor is ideally placed for exploring the region:

  • 10 min to Culverden
  • 20–25 min to Hanmer Springs
  • Moments from walking tracks, river reserves, and scenic country roads

Perfect for breaking up a long travel day or as a base for exploring North Canterbury.

  • Please be respectful of the grounds
  • Pets welcome if kept under control
  • Fires are not permitted
  • Dogs are aloowed – leased when unsupervised and please pick up poo thanks
  • Please arrive before dark where possible
