Renovation Journey

We bought the old Amuri cottage country hospital in late 2024, and in 2026 we will open as boutique guest accommodation and retreat centre. The photos below show the journey to develop and renovate the site.

From overflowing sewers and gutters, roof leaks and water pump issues, an inefficient boiler system with radiators and 5 hot water cylinders, collapsing floors and 100 year old linoleum, we are very proud to have successfully started the journey renovating this important building and grounds as an ongoing part of Rotherham’s history.
