Our meet and greet reception model is designed to give Amuri Manor a “home away from home” atmosphere, as well as allowing for flexibility in your arrival time.

The entrance is from the main parking area, up an accessible ramp, and there you will find the front door.

Step through the front door to discover the entrance to our communal lounge and reception area, the long corridor of ‘wards’ and then the stairwell upstairs on the right to the guest rooms.

Five rooms await in this old hospital, four upstairs and one downstairs. While each room is unique, with different layouts based on the character of the property and subtle variations in décor, all share the following features:

  • Super comfy beds
  • Ensuite or shared bathroom
  • Tea station with mini-fridge, microwave and kettle
  • Heaters to ensure year-round comfort

Below, we introduce each of the five rooms. Many of our return guests request a “favourite” room for each visit, while others endeavour to sample each room. Each room is themed after one of the former staff of the hospital.

Renovation and design features at Amuri Manor

For Sarah and Michael McGregor, renovating the old hospital into Amuri Manor is a true labour of love. The updated interior both preserves its historic character and adds a splash of eye-catching colour.

As part of the renovation, the rundown yet much-loved historic hospital is being outfitted with modern comforts, from insulation and heating through to well-appointed bathrooms.
